From a young age I developed a passion for cooking. It all started with me preparing breakfast menus for my parents on Sunday mornings. I was about 8 years old and woke up at 7 to make a menu which I then gave to my parents. I took their orders on my little note pad and got to work in the kitchen.
I value good quality food and I think it should not be reserved for special occasions like Christmas or birthdays. Food should be delicious and enjoyed in good company. Eating together at the dinner table was a must at my house and was my favourite moment of the day.
I come from a big family and always appreciated that my parents prepared a home-cooked meal despite their busy days. I often cooked together with my dad β I still do and still really enjoy it. It is a great time to catch up and tell each other about the crazy parts of our days.

When I started University I moved into a studio with a tiny but wonderful kitchen. This is where my love for cooking really flowered. I dedicated free time in my weekends to trying out new recipes with interesting products I found in the supermarket. Despite the long days I always managed to prepare a fresh meal.
Lentil & Lime is one of my creative outlets where I share my cooking philosophy and recipes. Something I always dreamed of π
