Take the puff pastry out of the freezer and let the sheets defrost until they are at a temperature that makes them easy to work with.

Create two large squares of puff pastry by combining two puff pastry sheets for the bottom and repeating the process for the top layer.

Generously spread Nutella or melted chocolate over the bottom layer of puff pastry.

Place the top layer over the Nutella.

Cut the large square into 10 long strips.

Take a strip and fold it so it resembles a Christmas tree, with the underlayer being the largest, followed by the middle layer and then the top layer.

To ensure they hold their shape during baking, pierce them with a skewer.

Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Finish by dusting them with powdered sugar.
